Browns Likely to Draft New QB in 2026, Mendoza Top Pick

Despite Shedeur Sanders impressive performance, the Cleveland Browns may draft a new quarterback in the 2026 NFL Draft. Experts suggest the Browns need a fresh start at quarterback and to rebuild their offensive line. Two mock drafts had the Browns picking Dante Moore from Oregon or Fernando Mendoza from Indiana as their new quarterback. With their second pick in the first round, both mocks had Cleveland drafting an offensive lineman, such as Alabamas Kadyn Proctor or Penn State guard Vega Ioane. Mendoza, with his strong arm, is looking like a top pick, potentially leaving Sanders as the backup quarterback. DNN | The Daily News Now! The world’s first global local news network. Every city.
