Browns’ Defense Shines in AFC North | Cleveland Browns News

The AFC North is loaded for 2026, with Ravens, Bengals, and Steelers all Super Bowl contenders — but the Browns are projected to finish last. Quarterback woes loom with Deshaun Watson’s inconsistency and rookie Shedeur Sanders needing to prove himself, while Baltimore’s Lamar, Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow, and Pittsburgh’s Aaron Rodgers dominate the position. On offense, Cleveland’s young RBs show promise but face stiff competition from Derrick Henry and Pittsburgh’s duo. Their pass catchers have potential with rookies KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston, but trail elite Bengals targets JaMarr Chase and Tee Higgins. Defensively, though, the Browns shine — their front seven, led by Jared Verse and Carson Schwesinger, ranks No. 1 in the division, and a strong secondary anchored by Denzel Ward and Tyson Campbell could be their biggest weapon.
