Browns Debut Under New Coach | Cleveland Browns News

The Browns open their 2026 season as underdogs against the Jaguars, with new head coach Todd Monken and QB Deshaun Watson facing the spotlight. Watson, sidelined since 2024, must now manage a full-season load without turnovers, while rookie Jared Verse steps into Myles Garrett’s former role as a defensive disruptor. The offensive line, reshuffled by injury, must gel fast to protect Watson and run the ball. With a revamped offense and new coordinators, Cleveland’s success hinges on execution—especially communication and zone coverage. This opener won’t seal their fate, but it’ll reveal how far they’ve come this offseason.
