Columbia River Sockeye Season Cut as Returns Fall Short

Sockeye returns to Bonneville Dam are projected at less than half the pre-season forecast of 275,000 fish, prompting Oregon and Washington to close Upper Columbia fisheries and cut four retention days from the lower Columbia season. WDFW managers say the Hanford Reach fishery closes June 20, with the lower river window now running June 27 through July 5. https://clarkcountytoday.com/sports/low-sockeye-salmon-returns-lead-to-fishery-changes-in-the-columbia-river/ #ColumbiaRiver #SockeyeSalmon #WDFW #WashingtonState #FishingRules #PacificNorthwest #Fishing #SalmonFishing #EmergencyRules #NorthofFalcon
