Thousands of students gathered yesterday (Thursday) to demand more support from the Government. AMLÉ is calling for more investment into student accommodation, the abolition of the student contribution fee and to close the core funding gap. The march took place through Dublin city. It comes after Higher Education Minister James Lawless said next week's budget will deliver significantly for students and young people. It's not clear yet if there will be any measures to directly target those areas. AMLÉ President Daniel Walsh, says they have a few key demands and one of them includes a reduction in college fees. For more on this, Alan Morrissey was joined by Eva McCormack, UL Student Life President, and Seán de Búrca, President Of Comhaltas na Mac Léinn, Ollscoil na Gaillimhe. Photo (c) UL Student Life
