A drastic reduction is expected to the number of Clare hotels and B&Bs providing accommodation to Ukrainian Refugees and International Protection Applicants in the coming months. There are currently 629 Ukrainians residing across 16 accommodation centres in this county, with the final withdrawal of these state contracts expected by next March. The 11 properties hosting International Protection Applicants, meanwhile, is expected to be reduced to three in the near future. Speaking to Clare FM's Daragh Dolan, following a presentation from Clare County Council's Integration Team, Maghera Fianna Fáil Councillor Pat Hayes says it's vital the transition process is smooth.
