Lack Of Sexual Assault Treatment Units In Midwest Failing Survivors

It's claimed survivors of sexual assault and rape in Clare are facing barriers to justice due to a lack of adequate healthcare facilities. There are currently six Sexual Assault Treatment Units nationwide, but none serving the MidWest. Although Limerick does have a Forensic Medical Examination Unit, this can only be accessed via Garda referral.
