Growing Number Of Clare People Surrendering Dogs Due To Homelessness

There's been an uptick in the number of Clare people surrendering their pets due to homelessness. Clare's Dog Warden has noted a growing caseload in which people have given up their dogs due to eviction notices. Clare's Dog Shelter follows a policy of rehoming all pets where possible, but re-unification with the original owners is generally not possible. County Dog Warden Frankie Coote says it can cause very difficult situations.
