Former Clare Soldier Honoured

Alan Morrissey was joined by Kevin McCormack from Newmarket-on-Fergus, a former member of the Defence Forces who recently received a 25-Year Service Medal from the Organisation of National Ex-Servicemen and Women. Kevin served for 23 years with the 30th Infantry Battalion in Kilkenny, and was also honoured at a civic reception marking the contribution of former and serving members of the Defence Forces. Alan heard about his years in the Army, the importance of remembering veterans, and his perspective on Ireland’s role in a world facing a number of ongoing conflicts. Photo (c) Clare FM
