Climate Change Advisory Council Warning

The Climate Change Advisory Council is warning that Ireland is not preparing quickly enough for more frequent and severe weather extremes, with many flood-relief schemes still years from completion. Here in Clare, the report also highlights significant flood-insurance gaps and the need for greater community resilience. Alan Morrissey was joined by Dr Sinead Sheehan, Futureproof Clare spokesperson, and Bridget Ginnity, Ennis Environmental Action Group member, to discuss climate adaptation, flood protection and practical steps communities can take to become more resilient.
