Clare Animal Welfare Raises Concerns Over Serious Abuse Incident

Some listeners may find the following segment upsetting. Clare Animal Welfare have raised concerns over the treatment of animals in the county following an incident of serious abuse against Gloria, a year-old Whippet. Gloria spent three days and three nights in hospital, nearly losing both of her paws, after allegedly being attacked by a gang of "youths". Thankfully, she was rescued by a member of the public. Gloria is now recovering in her new foster home, but the situation raises serious concern over the treatment of dogs and other animals. Stiofán MacGabhann, Director/Treasurer of Clare Animal Welfare, joined Derrick Lynch to discuss how Gloria is getting on, and how others can help protect Clare's four-legged friends.
