Calls For Popular West Clare Beach Public Toilets To Remain Open All Year Round

There are calls for the public toilets at White Strand in Miltown Malbay to remain open throughout the year. Clare County Council says the facilities currently operate on a seasonal basis, from June to September, with year-round toilets available nearby at Spanish Point. Alan Morrissey was joined by Michael Shannon, the Quilty Fianna Fáil councillor. Alan heard from Michael about the calls for a change and whether the council can provide the resources to keep the facilities open year-round. Photo (c) Heiko119 from Getty Images via Canva
