With one day to go to Budget 2027, the focus is on what it will mean for people and businesses across Clare. Clare FM’s Éabha Brennan has been getting the views of more people around Clare on the Budget. Meanwhile, farmers are facing rising fuel and fertiliser costs, businesses and retailers are looking for help with energy and employment costs, while childcare providers and parents are watching closely for measures to reduce the cost of childcare. Alan Morrissey was joined by three people representing very different sectors of the local economy: Cratloe farmer and former ICMSA General Secretary Eddie Punch, Ennis Chamber CEO Margaret O’Brien, and Noel Mulderrig of Kidz Haven in Shannon.
