This episode of PLAY MORRICONE FOR ME explores the sordid world of 80's & 90's erotic thrillers—flippantly described as "bunny boilers" in the trades. The genre exploded into the mainstream with FATAL ATTRACTION, saw the rewriting of its musical DNA with BASIC INSTINCT, and exists today in a hibernative state, a reminder of a pre-Marvel movie pop cultural landscape for mature audiences.

Enjoy!
