MLB Trade Deadline Countdown! What Will Jed Hoyer & the Cubs Do?

The MLB Trade Deadline countdown is officially on, and all eyes are on Jed Hoyer and the Chicago Cubs. With the Cubs battling through one of the most injury-ravaged pitching staffs in baseball, will the front office make a blockbuster move for a frontline starter, bullpen help, or both? Luke Stuckmeyer, Joey Christopoulos, and Justin Roman break down the Cubs' biggest trade needs, the latest MLB trade rumors. After losing or missing significant time from Justin Steele, Cade Horton, Jameson Taillon, Edward Cabrera, Ben Brown, Daniel Palencia, Hunter Harvey, Porter Hodge, Riley Martin, Phil Maton, Hoby Milner, Ethan Roberts, and Shelby Miller, the Cubs have been forced to overcome injuries to at least 13 pitchers between the starting rotation and bullpen this season, making pitching the clear priority ahead of the MLB Trade Deadline.
