How To Deal With Temptation Wisely
Dr. Stanley explains that temptation itself is not sin, but how we respond to it determines the outcome. He urges believers to recognize that Satan always appeals to our natural desires and disguises the consequences of sin. To deal with temptation wisely, we must first acknowledge our weaknesses and stay alert to the enemy’s tactics. He emphasizes the importance of Scripture—just as Jesus resisted the devil in the wilderness by quoting God’s Word, we too must have it stored in our hearts. Stanley also stresses the role of prayer, accountability, and relying on the Holy Spirit for strength. Ultimately, the wisest response to temptation is not to argue with it, but to flee from it, trusting that God always provides a way of escape.
