Football, Farva, and Michael Bay's Softball Nemesis | with Broken Lizard

Hello! It's the podcast that doesn't want a Large Farva, it wants a g*****n liter of cola. Today, Katie and the Casualties discuss Pete Crow-Armstrong, Kristin Cavallari, and the idea that Babe Ruth didn't actually exist, Aaron Rodgers questioning why ESPN wasn't covering the Anthony Fauci hearings, Stefon Diggs signing in Washington, Caitlin Clark's no-win situation, the return of Hard Knocks and preseason football, a said farewell to the NHL's emergency backup goalies, and Isabella's first time watching the intro to Super Troopers. Then, Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske of Broken Lizard join the show [36:08] to talk about Super Troopers 3, the legacy of the original film at the 25-year mark, the origins of Farva, mustache care, the terror of sharing a scene with Brian Cox after Succession, Blind Ranking the greatest Super Troopers quotes, the sparing of Jim Edwards' mailbox, writing a Super Troopers plot after marijuana gets legalized, Farva's dance scene, the guys being front row for Summerslam and what wrestlers they'd chug a beer with, the Minnesota Vikings' quarterback competition, Jay quitting the Broken Lizard fantasy football league, whether the Dodgers are ruining baseball, the Knicks playoff run, being arch rivals with Michael Bay's softball team in Hollywood, and sagely advice for Isabella on which NFL team to root for as she picks her NFL fandom. Then, the team wraps with your best e-mails and voicemails, on the Cleveland WNBA logo, Adley Rutschman, Spider-man, sports curses, and the most romantic meet-cute of the week.
