The Cabin in the Woods - Say Hello To My Little Film Ep. 319

The Halloween season is upon us and in his grand tradition, Rob is celebrating by forcing Ray to watch a horror movie! However, the movie he’s bringing him isn’t strictly a horror movie, in fact, dare he call it an ”anti-horror” movie?? Rob is recommending the 2011 Horror-Comedy THE CABIN IN THE WOODS! Centered on a group of college kids heading out to the woods for a party weekend but soon find out things aren’t as they seem when an outside force seems to be orchestrating their untimely demise! Led by Chris Hemswoth (MARVEL’S THOR, FURIOSA, Kristen Connolly (HOUSE OF CARDS, HONEY DON’T), Fran Kranz (JULIA, REBIRTH), THE CABIN IN THE WOODS turns the horror genre on its head by pandering the horror fanatics with its endless homages to the great films of the past, but blending its cliche set-up into something truly original and elevates it beyond the pitfalls of the genre. But will that be enough to get Ray onboard for a movie in a genre he hates??? Tune in this week to find out!
