This New Hollywood twist on the classic genre stars Warren Beatty (DICK TRACY, BONNIE & CLYDE) as John McCabe, a wandering gambler who sets up a makeshift brothel in the small boomtown of Presbyterian Church. His business catches the eye of Constance Miller (played brilliantly by Julie Christie), a professional madame who pushes her way into a partnership that boosts the operation. But when the region’s largest mining company sets its sights on McCabe’s holdings and the town itself, his business skills are put to the ultimate test.

This landmark of the New Hollywood era showcases Altman at his finest, working with top-tier actors and crafting sepia-toned, textured visuals with the legendary cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond, cementing its place as a pinnacle of 70s cinema.
