The Vault Expert with Pastor Rhodes

In this episode of The Vault Expert, host Patti Katter sits down with Pastor Rhodes, her former youth pastor, for a meaningful conversation about leadership, service, and what it really means to invest in people.

Pastor Rhodes shares his journey from growing up in Melbourne, Florida, to serving in the U.S. Navy (1973–1981), and eventually dedicating decades to ministry, including years as a youth pastor in Bridgeport, Michigan, and later as senior pastor at First Baptist Church of South Brevard until 2023.

Together, Patti and Pastor Rhodes talk about:

• Military transition and how to stay engaged after leaving service
• Leadership with humility, including why real leaders do the work up close
• Parenting advice for military families, especially communication with kids and teens
• Mentoring teenagers and looking past the “outside” to what’s really going on inside
• Redefining success as impact on people, not accumulation of things
• The long-term power of investing time, energy, and encouragement into others

This episode is full of practical wisdom for anyone navigating leadership, family life, ministry, or the military-to-civilian transition, and it’s a reminder that the greatest legacy is the lives you shape.
