Chicago and Illinois leaders for weeks have been in a war of words with the Trump Administration. Mayor Brandon Johnson said he will do everything in his power to resist Federal Law Enforcement deploying to lower crime in Chicago. His comments denigrating Trump directly even after Chicago experienced a deadly Labor Day weekend. Not to be outdone by the Mayor, Governor JB Pritzker rejected an offer by president Trump to work together to solve the violence in Chicago.
