Boston College pulls off a gritty 28-21 win over Rutgers in the emotional Red Bandanna Game, thanks to Mason McKenzie’s dual-threat performance and a clutch late interception. Despite Rutgers’ quarterback AJ Surace throwing for over 200 yards and three touchdowns, four interceptions doomed their comeback. The game also saw a scary moment when linebacker Bodie Kahoun was carted off after a hard tackle—but thankfully, he’s okay. With this win, BC ties their record at 1-1, while Rutgers falls to 0-2. The annual matchup honors Welles Crowther, whose bravery on 9/11 lives on through the red bandanna tradition.
