One Win, One Game at a Time | Boston College Football News

Boston College just pulled off their first win of the 2026 season against Rutgers, and while the vibe on campus is electric, quarterback Mason McKenzie keeps it grounded—this is just one win, not a statement. With ten games left and an FCS opponent up next (ESPN says 96.9% win probability), McKenzie warns against complacency, reminding everyone that key players on his team came from the FCS ranks. Coach Bill O’Brien reinforces the message: with only twelve guaranteed games annually, every matchup matters. The Eagles’ mantra? “Go one and oh”—every win counts, every game demands focus. Safety Carter Davis echoes it: they’re building momentum, one victory at a time, respecting opponents no matter the level. It’s about process, not perfection, as they chase their season’s potential.
