Boston College Honors Hero with Red Bandana Uniforms

On November eighth, the Boston College Eagles football team, despite a tough season, captured national attention for a heartwarming tradition. The team, with a one and eight record and winless in their conference, faced off against the Southern Methodist University Mustangs. While the game itself saw the Eagles fall behind by seventeen points early on, it was their uniforms that truly stole the show. For the tenth consecutive year, the Boston College Eagles wore special uniforms featuring a red bandana pattern, honoring a former student and athlete, Welles Crowther, who heroically saved lives during the 9/11 attacks. The red bandana uniforms serve as a powerful reminder of the profound impact one individual can have, transcending the wins and losses on the field. The Daily News Now! - Every city. Every story.
