BC Stuns Rutgers in Red Bandanna Game | Boston College Football News

Boston College stunned Rutgers with a gritty 28-21 win in the emotional Red Bandanna Game, as QB Mason McKenzie dazzled with a 78-yard TD pass and a rushing score. Despite AJ Surace’s three touchdowns and four interceptions, Rutgers couldn’t overcome key defensive stops and a late interception by Anthony Palano that sealed the victory. The game took a scary turn when linebacker Bodie Kahoun was carted off after a hard tackle—but thankfully, he’s okay. This win lifts BC after a shaky start, while honoring Welles Crowther, a BC alum who died heroically on 9/11 wearing a red bandanna. Rutgers now turns to USC, while BC faces Maine.
