BC Honors Welles Crowther in Red Bandana Game

Boston College prepares for the Red Bandana Game, honoring Welles Crowther, a former lacrosse player who lost his life on 9/11 while helping others escape the World Trade Center. The game is more than a football match, serving as a tribute to Crowthers selflessness. His mother, Allison, will attend, and the team plays not just for each other, but also to honor his memory and values. Boston College also recognized Alex Broome with the National Service Award, celebrating players who demonstrate exceptional leadership and dedication to helping others. The team acknowledges the extra meaning behind this game, inspired by Crowthers story to give their all on the field. The Daily News Now! - Every city. Every story. AI powered. Hosted on Acast.
