Tuesday Full Show
Hour 1 We started with the Bears win last night and how good of a quarterback Caleb Williams is. In relation to that, where do the Giants stand among the great teams in the NFC? Should the Giants go all in at the trade deadline, or are there too many other great NFC teams to compete with? Boomer needs to see more from JJ McCarthy before he goes all in at the trade deadline. We talked about how competitive the NFC North is going to be. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Bears beating the Seahawks and we wonder how Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are doing. John Harbaugh seemed fired up to meet the media after the bye week. Aaron Glenn talked about their issues in the red zone and on defense. The Knicks beat the Nets again, their 15th straight over Brooklyn. In the final segment of the hour, Rex Ryan’s name is back in the mix as Stephen A. Smith said Jerry Jones should hire him. Rex has also been linked to the Maryland job. Every Jets coach since Herm Edwards ended up with a losing record, including Rex. Aaron Glenn is on pace to be the worst. Boomer said Rich Kotite was the worst. Hour 2 The Baltimore Ravens have a lot of issues at QB right now. They have a third stringer and a new practice squad guy, and they play on Thursday night. Maybe this will have the Ravens trading Derrick Henry to the Giants. A caller wonders if he should give up his Jets season tickets. Gio said he would rather spend a night in jail then go from Long Island to MetLife stadium. A caller said he is driving to Kansas City with his wife this week to see the Jets, so MetLife doesn’t sound so bad. Gio couldn’t imagine doing that. Jerry returns for an update, but first Boomer has NHL hometown jerseys for Gio & Jerry. Aaron Glenn talked about identifying and fixing issues. He also talked about losing close games. Joe Benigno wants a sitdown with Mike Tomlin about coming to the Jets. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about the Giants upcoming game against the Eagles. A caller thinks the Viking should trade for Kirk Cousins but there is no reason the Raiders would trade him. Hour 3 Gio said if the Giants go to the Super Bowl, we have to go to the game. Boomer doesn’t see the Giants getting there as he sees too many good NFC teams in the way. Boomer said JJ McCarthy is still a huge question mark. Jerry returns for an update, but first we heard the Liberty head coach has been fired. We heard from Sam Darnold after the loss to the Bears. We heard Stephen A. Smith saying the Cowboys need to hire Rex Ryan. Michael Irvin said the Cowboys are ‘the worst’ and ‘my dead mom can coach them better’. John Harbaugh talked about reaching out to the owner of the Titans. Aaron Glenn was asked about the defense and why have they regressed? The Knicks beat the Nets again. In the final segment of the hour, some baseball writers are talking about big deals getting done before the CBA expires which doesn’t make a lot of sense. Don Ohlmeyer of NBC got roasted in the Norm Macdonald documentary. Boomer said he had a part in him fired at Monday Night Football. Hour 4 We talked about the private plane that crashed and how fortunate it was that nobody on the ground was injured. We also talked about how bad the cars are that Uber drivers have in the suburbs. In NYC, they’re great. Really nice cards. Not in the suburbs. We talked about the cars that AL and Jerry drive. LeBron took a sip of wine from a fan when he crashed into him courtside in the Sixers win. Bill Belichick was asked if he broke up with Jordon Hudson. The Moment of The Day: How to stay safe if you end up in jail.
