Unbury Carol: A Novel

The primary content consists of portions of the story, focusing on a character named Carol who appears to be in a coma or death-like state, her husband Dwight who intends to bury her quickly, and James Moxie, an outlaw who seems to be Carol's former lover and is traveling to her. Additional characters like the funeral director Manders, the crippled triggerman Smoke, and Sheriff Opal are introduced, suggesting themes of deception, supernatural elements (Carol's condition, the figure of Rot), pursuit, and the harsh setting of "the Trail." The text also contains brief author information and acknowledgements.
