The Mysterious Magickal Cat: Mythology, Folklore, Spirits, and Spells

Explores the multifaceted relationship between humans and felines through the lenses of history, folklore, and spirituality. The text examines the evolutionary origins of cats, suggesting they may have effectively domesticated themselves to take advantage of human agriculture. Beyond biological history, the author details the sacred status of cats in ancient cultures, particularly Egypt, and addresses the harmful superstitions that led to their later persecution. A significant portion of the work is dedicated to cat magick, a spiritual practice that uses naturally shed materials to foster healing and connection. Conway emphasizes that true spiritual growth is reflected in how people treat their animal companions, advocating for a bond based on mutual respect and observation. By analyzing feline behavior and vocalizations, the book aims to help owners better understand and honor the enigmatic nature of their pets.
