Introduction to Abstract Algebra: From Rings, Numbers, Groups, and Fields to Polynomials and Galois Theory

Explores abstract algebra, commencing with fundamental set theory and number theory, including operations like unions and intersections, equivalence relations, and properties of integers and primes. It then progresses to define and analyze various algebraic structures, such as rings, groups, and fields, detailing their axioms, homomorphisms, and isomorphisms. Concepts like integral domains, quotient groups/rings, direct products, and unique factorization are thoroughly examined. The material further extends to linear algebra, discussing vector spaces, matrices, linear transformations, and inner product spaces, and concludes with an introduction to field extensions and Galois theory, touching upon the insolvability of the quintic and classical geometric construction impossibilities.
