Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour Talks Prediction Markets in Elections

At an agricultural commodity futures conference in Kansas, Bloomberg’s Tyler Kendall speaks with Kalshi CEO and Co-founder Tarek Mansour about the growing role of prediction markets in elections and the regulatory challenges facing the industry. Mansour calls this the first election in which prediction-market use is becoming institutionalized, saying campaigns rely on the markets for real-time information that he argues can be more accurate than polls. He says Kalshi is engaging with policymakers from both parties and supports regulation, including clear rules on prohibited markets, insider trading and participation by members of Congress and the administration, alongside customer protections.
