SHADOW EXIT By morning, the city has changed. What belonged to the night is slowly losing its place. Shadows retreat beneath the trees. Empty spaces begin to fill with light. Something crosses the sky. At first, it seems ordinary. Then it changes direction. Too high to follow, it moves beyond the city and disappears into the distance. For a moment, there is nothing left above the horizon. Then, far beyond the atmosphere, a familiar passage appears again. The walls are still there. The way through is still open. But nothing returns. Below, the city begins to fade. Streets. Buildings. Distance. One after another, they lose their shape. Until only the horizon remains. Then that disappears too. Nothing closes.
