Media Silence on Black Serial Killer: Larry Elder's Controversial Claim

Nationally syndicated radio host Larry Elder raises questions about media coverage, suggesting a double standard in reporting on serial killers. He points to the case of Damien McDaniel, a Black man accused of murdering 18 people in Birmingham, Alabama, between 2023 and 2024. Despite the high number of victims and the potential racial implications, the story has not received widespread national or international attention. McDaniel is currently considered innocent until proven guilty, with his cases being heard by Jefferson County Circuit Judge Shanta Owens. A trial date has not been set, but a status call is scheduled for April 2026. DNN | The Daily News Now! The world’s first global local news network. Every city. Every story. AI powered.
