Family Escapes House Fire, Needs Christmas Help

A family in Tuscaloosa County narrowly escaped a devastating house fire, with all six members, including two young children, managing to flee the blaze. The fire, which occurred near Woodland Lake Road and Teddy Drive, left their home and possessions destroyed just weeks before Christmas. Despite smoke inhalation and minor injuries, the family is receiving assistance from the Red Cross. The community is rallying to provide a special Christmas for the family, with donations of gently used clothing and shoes accepted at the Lakeview Fire Department office. The deadline for donations is December nineteenth, coinciding with the fire trucks Christmas ride through the community. DNN | The Daily News Now! The world’s first global local news network.
