Shamrocks and Shenanigans

Welcome to "Shamrocks and Shenanigans," where Bill, Dan, and Kevin celebrate St. Patrick's Day at Mulconry's Irish Pub! In this episode, Bill kicks things off by recounting the festivities of the day before, including marching in the St. Patrick's Day Parade with his son Jordan and Greg Connors representing Connors and Ferris. However, a story from later in the evening unfolds, with Bill delicately navigating the tale to avoid hurting anyone involved – though we all know how that goes!Greg Connors joins the conversation to delve into the St. Patrick's Day Saturday festivities and some insights into NFL moves. Then, we're joined by Jim Merkley, President of Oak Hill, who shares the benefits of his daily cold plunge routine, which has led to significant weight loss and lowered blood pressure.Darren Wynne, hailing from Ireland, brings his experiences from a professional soccer career, time in Irish radio, and his journey to the States. He now hosts a radio show from his basement, connecting back to Ireland. New friends, including Gretchen, a seasoned travel agent and head of the rotary club's foreign exchange student program, join the conversation, shedding light on the program's benefits.Danny sparks a discussion about a quote from "The Departed" attributed to Sigmund Freud regarding the Irish, prompting debate on whether Freud actually said it. Bill and Darren argue that the Irish, when facing psychic trouble, turn to poetry, storytelling, or escapism, leading to a generally happier disposition. So, whether you celebrated with us at Mulconry's or had your own St. Patrick's Day adventure, here's to hoping it was a great one! Sláinte!
