Relationship Duct Tape
Relationship Duct Tape:
Bill asks Mark, Laura, Matt and Kevin where they were when the World Health Organization declared COVID – 19 a Global Pandemic four years ago. Everyone has a story and remembers when things shut down in New York State. Bill asks Matt, the Manager of BTB, what it was like in the hospitality business during that time. Laura has her own business as an organizer and was very cautious going into people’s homes. Bill reads a text to Matt about tipping and ask Matt’s opinion about tipping culture, who deserves it and who doesn’t. Matt talks about minimum wage and how much it is costing employers, Bill thinks some jobs like a dishwasher at a restaurant was not meant to pay a minimum wage, but be part time and potentially push someone to aspire to more. Bill recaps the Oscars he enjoyed despite not seeing any of the movies, he thinks Jimmy Kimmel is a great host and plays some of his jokes, including the uncomfortable Robert Downey Jr. one! Laura is the only one who saw a nominated movie, she saw Barbie and was underwhelmed. Bill does play Ryan Gosling singing, ‘I’m Just Ken,’ at the Oscars with Slash from Guns and Roses playing guitar. Bill thinks there should a giant multimedia awards ceremony because many people are not oing to the movies anymore and are watching cenematic television. Bill brings up the new movie he saw over the weekend, Ricky Stanicky, and how he got Kevin to watch it too. It turns out Matt saw it and loved it as well! Mark had relationship problems over the weekend and explains what happened. Laura thinks Mark’s girlfriend is overreacting. Mark wants to tell his girlfriend that and gets Bill to let him call her on the podcast, this may have gone as you suspect. It turns out Matt screwed up this weekend with his girlfriend too, everybody is on Matt’s side, until a call is made to his girlfriend and everyone starts singing a different tune! Some significant changes to the NFL like Russell Wilson playing for the Steelers and Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars. A round of Closest to the Pin with a new winner, see how you stack up! Enjoy!
