Ding Dong

In this episode of Billified: The Bill Moran Podcast, Bill kicks things off by celebrating an exciting week in sports, from intense World Series games to thrilling football matchups. But before diving into the scores, he turns to a surprising “sport” from his youth that he thought was long gone: Ding Dong Ditch! While everyone in the room remembers playing this classic prank back in the day, Bill assumed it had faded away with the rise of doorbell cameras. He was wrong. Reports are popping up nationwide of ding dong ditches going horribly wrong, with cases like a Connecticut incident where kids have started kicking doors, or even more extreme run-ins like the Arizona man who allegedly rammed a car with teenagers, and a Maine resident who reportedly fired a gun at teens, injuring one. Bill even shares a story of someone he knows whose kid got caught on a doorbell camera, leading to a bizarre night with “wanted” posters and a dramatic showdown.

Moving on to safer sports, Bill and Mark get into the NFL action, excited about the Bills’ 31-10 victory over the Seahawks and the promising performance of Keon Coleman. But not without discussing Josh Allen’s first interception of the season—targeting Amari Cooper, who tripped. Bill plays audio of Tom Brady praising Allen, though “spaz” is the word that sparked controversy online! Meanwhile, Matt, a lifelong Cowboys fan, can barely cope as his team drops another one to the 49ers. Is there still hope for Dallas this season?

The guys go league-wide, touching on teams like New England, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville and is Aaron Rodgers the biggest promblem on Jets?! Then, it’s all about the World Series—games three and four in NYC have been unforgettable, with highlights like Freddie Freeman’s walk-off grand slam in game one. Bill even shares the exhilarating call from Japan that has everyone buzzing!

Things wrap up with a game of “Name That Tune.” Will someone dethrone the reigning champ? Find out, play along, and enjoy the fun!
