The Western New York Bigfoot That Shouldn’t Exist

In this episode, we dive into the experiences of Ryan Reading, a longtime researcher from Western New York who has spent over 15 years tracking, observing, and documenting Bigfoot activity in one of the most active regions in the Northeast.

Ryan shares the moment that started it all—a close encounter with a juvenile figure at an old homestead—and how that experience led to years of consistent fieldwork across remote forests, trail systems, and hidden corridors deep in New York wilderness. What followed were repeated sightings, including a massive 9-foot presence witnessed with another person, along with footprint casts, trail camera captures, and audio recordings collected through disciplined, boots-on-the-ground research.

Throughout the conversation, Ryan explains how he mapped movement patterns, identified travel routes, and used habituation techniques to increase the chances of interaction. He walks through the strategy behind some of the most compelling images and video he’s captured, offering insight into how these encounters happen and what keeps them just out of reach.

This episode also explores the intensity that comes with long-term exposure to the unknown. The experiences shared here go beyond brief sightings, revealing what it’s like to stay in the field day after day, pushing deeper into areas where activity continues to unfold.

If you’re interested in firsthand accounts, documented evidence, and a deeper look at how serious Bigfoot research is actually conducted, this is an episode you don’t want to miss.
