Father and Son Went Fishing—Then Something Swam Toward Them!

A father and son go fishing at an isolated Illinois quarry pond. A creature growls from the opposite bank, jumps into the water, and begins swimming toward them.

In Bigfoot Society Episode 1215, author and longtime nurse John Reiners shares this reported 1983 encounter from Jackson County, Illinois—a place the previous owner had kept off limits to his own family. What happened there left the fishermen running for safety and their grandfather with questions of his own.

John also recounts his personal Kentucky encounter: a massive, hair-covered creature chasing a buck on all fours before rising onto two legs. That night launched a search for answers that eventually led to his newest book, Aquatic Sasquatch.
