Tonight’s guest, Jonathan Downes, is the Director of The Center for Fortean Zoology, in Scottland. Jonathan founded The Center for Fortean Zoology 32 years ago, so this isn’t a new venture for him. When you consider all of the experience he has researching sightings and legends of unclassified creatures, how could there be a better eyewitness to come on the show to talk about a cryptid sighting he had? What Jonathan saw is called a woodwose. The term woodwose is in reference to what is believed to be a mythological being that is characterized by an untamed, wild, and hairy appearance. To some, they’re known as wild men. Others consider them to be the British equivalent to bigfoot.
