  • Dick Glover, J.J. Dillon, and Akio Sato going to Japan to lock up a deal for the WWF with one of the major promotions for a future working agreement.
  • Ricky Steamboat working a New Japan tour which was called underwhelming.
  • Super World Sports making their official debut with two big shows at Yokohama Arena that had production values which blew away all of the other wrestling promotions in that era.
  • A wacky indie show in Cleveland featuring Jerry Lawler vs. Eddie Gilbert and how it was worked into the Memphis TV storylines that morning.
