Heather Matarazzo (on Welcome To The Dollhouse, Scream, Roseanne, Grey's Anatomy, Madonna & "Making It" In Hollywood) - I

Heather Matarazzo steps Behind The Rope. Heather chats about the full trajectory of her career from her first film, The Sundance winning “Welcome to The Dollhouse”, to her current days as a working actress “making it” in Hollywood. Heather chats Dollhouse - what it was like to lead a feature film as your first project, how life changed after and why this film is still so beloved as the teen angst voice of “other” or “different” for many generations to come. We chat hot takes on some of Heather’s projects after Dollhouse - The Princess Diaries, Scream, Roseanne, The L Word and Grey’s Anatomy to name a few as well as co-stars such as Anne Hathaway, Neve Campbell and Ellen Pompeo. Heather opens up about the struggles she has faced over the years in Hollywood trying to find work, the many misperceptions the public has about life in the biz, her viral tweets on the subject earlier this year, and where she, and Hollywood, are today regarding it all! Finally, as a member of the LGBTQIA community, Heather talks representation, new movie “The Mattachine Family” and, of course, her wife’s tribute book to Queen Madonna because as we often say, all roads lead back to Madame M. @heathermatarazzo @behindvelvetrope @davidyontef BONUS & AD FREE EPISODES Available at - www.patreon.com/behindthevelvetrope BROUGHT TO YOU BY: DAME - www.dameproducts.com (Enter Code VELVETROPE For 15% Off Your Order) TALKSPACE - www.talkspace.com ($100 Off Your First Month.
