What Are The Detroit Red Wings DOING?? | BB Clips

From Barn Burner: Boomer & Pinder with Rhett Warrener The Nation Network

Boomer, Pinder and Rhett react to another bizarre chapter in what has become a messy offseason for the Detroit Red Wings, with Shawn Horcoff officially being named interim general manager just days before training camp. Detroit moved on from Steve Yzerman in July, brought in an outside search firm and spent the summer conducting what was supposed to be a thorough search for its next hockey operations leader — and yet the season is about to begin without that permanent person in place. Horcoff will have full authority while the search continues and remains a candidate for the permanent job, but with Dylan Larkin’s future unresolved, no captain named and major decisions still hanging over the organization, what exactly is going on in Detroit? The guys debate whether taking their time is the responsible approach or whether the Red Wings simply haven’t been able to land the person they actually want.
