Badlands Media Special Coverage: 11/5/26 - Oval Office Monument, Tariff Fight & Ukraine Deal
President Trump speaks from the Oval Office on November 5 as he signs a proclamation making the Oval Office a national monument and federal landmark, with the Cabinet Room covered the same way, and says both spaces will go to Congress for ratification so no one can tear them down or reshape them. He walks through the office's history from William Howard Taft in 1909 to FDR's 1934 changes, rates his signature a 10, and points Laura Ingraham and the press toward the upgraded Cabinet Room with its new chandeliers. In the gaggle that follows he defends tariffs as the reason thousands of factories are being built in the United States, says Iran will never have a nuclear weapon, answers questions on a Russian diesel tanker, House leadership between Scalise and Jordan, Democratic Socialist mayors, Pete Hegseth and Venezuela, White House repairs and the new ballroom, and Melania's Oleshky ceasefire meeting with Russian and Ukrainian officials. He says a bigger Russia-Ukraine deal is close, meets Putin's envoy Kirill Dmitriev, addresses the Texas border, and closes by calling for the fake Dan Sullivan's Alaska votes to be moved to the real Senator Dan Sullivan. Here are the full remarks.
