The Narrative Ep. 82: American Outcast

Solo show, take three. Burning Bright opens Episode 82 fighting a dying microphone and cheerfully choosing between two audio disasters until he can fix his setup after Vegas. This is the every-other-week format he is experimenting with: not a polished presentation but his version of a live dig, a "cognitive cascade" that stitches seemingly disconnected headlines together in real time. He warns you it may not make sense, because he genuinely does not know where it is going yet. The macro theme is American Outcast. Drawing on his background as a fiction writer, he argues that headlines are not reality but narrative deployments engineered to guide the collective mind toward a manufactured emotional catharsis. Expect a fiery detour into 9/11-anniversary "debunker" pieces, including one from a well-known outlet, and why even earnest truth-community reactions can play right into the enemy playbook. Weird, freewheeling, self-aware, and exactly the cocktail he is going for.
