Quite Frankly Ep. 70: Emoji Sigils, the Queen of Sheba & Satellite Launches
Frankie Val is joined by his cousin Sherry for a loose Thursday night, opening with the Yankees' exit, Halloween bobbing for apples, plans for next year's Jamboree and an update on Frank's 1987 Bronco. Frank and Sherry talk over the riots in France, comparing them with Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter, then turn to voter fatigue, local New York politics and Joe Rogan's Spotify deal. The centerpiece is a video Frank plays that claims Unicode emojis trace back to the sigils of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, by way of a 1955 dig in Oman and the Omani government's seat on the Unicode Consortium. Frank treats it as a theory to chew on, and callers weigh in on sigils and the occult. Another caller, Dr. Gene, shares his view that satellite launches line up with neurological changes he sees in patients, and the three get into terrain theory and whether tin foil blocks anything. Frank and Sherry also react to a post claiming the White House now prefers "superintelligence" to "AI", and they close with Super Chats, a sticker giveaway and listener shout-outs.
