Devolution Power Hour Ep. 496: Pandas, Xi's Dinner, Superintelligence Theory

Jon Herold and Chris Paul open with a genuinely fun tangent about the two new pandas gifted alongside Xi Jinping's visit, complete with jokes about renaming them and where to best display panda merch. The mood stays light before shifting into the actual state dinner and Xi's comments about US China competition, with both hosts noting how oddly aligned Trump and Xi seem to be on the same messaging lately. That leads into a meatier theory: the idea that an announcement of true superintelligence being achieved could function as a kind of false flag moment, something the hosts trace across multiple shows using the same terminology around the same time. There's also a viewer mailbag segment full of Bitcoin tips, inside jokes, and a Black Panther history clip pulled from a fan submission. A fun, freewheeling episode with some real substance tucked inside.
