AvTalk Episode 189: Looking into Boeing’s Future

On this episode of AvTalk, we’re joined by The Air Current’s editor-in-chief Jon Ostrower to parse the news from Boeing’s first investor day in four years last week. We cover CEO Dave Calhoun’s comments that Boeing will not begin building a new airplane until at least the next decade and the status of Boeing’s current aircraft portfolio, including outstanding issues with the certification of the 737-7 and 737-10 MAX aircraft. We also dig deeper and further back in time to understand how Boeing reached this point and how it might, just might, be able to climb its way back.
If you’re trying to understand where Boeing sees itself in the commercial aviation market and the challenges to that vision, this is the episode you need to hear.
