This episode is a very honest and open conversation following the Barcelona LCQ where unfortunately Maria didn't manage to secure her spot in the Elite 15 at World Champs. She opens up about having some tough races and not coming out with the result she has hoped for or knows she is capable of. We talk about how to deal with this and that it is important not to tie your identity to a race result. Maria tells us about her awesome Pro Doubles race in Miami with Jess Pettrow where they qualified for the Elite 15 Doubles at Worlds and we also talk about the difference between racing doubles and solo. We also delve into more about Marias background and what she's changed in her training moving from endurance to Hyrox. It was such a pleasure to record this episode and great to get an insight into elite racing in this ever growing sport and hear more about how the standard just keeps levelling up.
