Orville Peck

On this Surprise Drop of Artist Friendly, Joel Madden is joined by Orville Peck. Though Peck wears a fringe mask whenever he performs, he continues to be one of the few openly queer artists in country. In the duo’s latest conversation, they go deep, resulting in a bold and candid episode about genre-bending, identity, and carving your own path in music. From his anonymous persona and punk beginnings to becoming a pivotal voice for queer representation in country, Peck opens up about what it really means to be authentic — and visible — in a changing industry. Fresh off his Appaloosa EP, Peck will host his 7th annual Rodeo from Nov. 14-16 at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown, where country, drag, and comedy will coalesce into an unmissable weekend. ------- Listen to their Artist Friendly conversation on Spotify. ------- Follow Artist Friendly!
